NEW SCHOOL YEAR 2023-24

Friends of St Joseph's Coffee Morning - Tuesday 20th February 2024 - 8:45-10:30 am in the school hall - all welcome.

Come and join Mrs Wilson in the school hall for a drink and a chat. How can we help you this year. What courses would you like, what activities for you and your children. Be great to see you there!

As you may know St Joseph’s school has a Parent Forum, called "Friends of St Joseph's" Our aims are:

  •  Fund raising for activities, facilities or equipment which support our school and advance the education of the pupils
  • Maintain a positive relationship between families and the school.

 How we raise money

Our recent events have included Christmas fairs, discos, the weekly raffle and the Year 6 Bash.  We are always looking for new ideas so please come forward with suggestions – fund raising is important but we also like to organise events which are fun for children and their families.

How do we spend the money we raise?

Members meet with Mr Arnold and Mrs Wilson informally once a half term and they discuss ways of spending money that are the most beneficial for the pupils.

Who are the "Friends of St Joseph's?"

You are automatically a member  but what you decide to do about it is up to you.  All parents and members of the school community can get involved if they want to, and we always need more volunteers.  You can help out at events, come to meetings to share ideas or help promote our events.   Our long term aim is to have a member to represent each class.

Mrs Wilson also runs a toddler session every Wednesday in the school hall, see poster below, ALL WELCOME!
